Circuit City #3157 - Black Friday Door OpenTaken by Bill Durrant, Lost Prevention Associate at 5am when the doors opened at the Christiana Circuit City in Delaware. Watch it a few times and you’ll see stuff you missed (people falling, getting trampled).

what does the death of an employee by being trampled on blackfriday day about us as a society?
its saddens me to think we are that greedy for an item on sale versues a human life.

I have not worked at Circuit City and their policies are probably the same like Best Buy – I think 20% staff discount.

probably start with the HR dept and go from there…or if they are the ones now out of business you should go through any paperwork they may have sent you and try to find out some contact info. check all your paperwork and look for anything that may have info on your 401K and who the manager of the account.

How long is a peice of string? When you resume contains everything useful about you, then it is finished. It doesn't have to be longer. Mine is very long, because I have had many different positions over the years. A person with 3 or 4 jobs might have a resume that is much better than mine.

Ok, when describing a job, just be no nonsense and accurate. If you are evaluating yourself, then boasting makes you sound like a complete tool.

Put it more in terms of your responsibility. The job title and what you did is not very helpful. Customer service might mean you answer the phone and direct people to other departments. I need to know what your responsibilities were.

Example.

Responsibilities included
- Providing assistant and advice to prospective customers
- Processing sales
- Providing after sales service to customers
- Openning and closing the store

You can fill in your resume by talking about your personal characteristics (eg, being prepared to try and do something yourself, but willing to ask for help when needed…this is what you are doing here at answers.yahoo.com). Customer focused, attention to detail, like to help people. Obtain job satisfaction from helping customers make the right choice of product (all good for sales jobs…but be honest, talk about your real nature)

Also talk about your future plans. If you are going to university studying business or this sort of job is your future, you can talk about how you want to walk in a customer, sales focused positions. etc etc

Good luck

I don't know but it might not be worth anything when you do get it as Circuit City has filed for bankruptcy and is in the midst of clearance.

Ok, here's how to change the admin account password. First click start>run, then type in "cmd" (without quotes) and press enter. Now at the command prompt, Type "net user [type account name here] *"
now type a password and its changed! If you want any better explanation, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQvO0Xp5OZQ and watch the video.

These days most service plans, including Circuit City's are handled by a third party. Your plan will stay the same, but you will have to send it in to the warranty company.

From the CC website:

Are Circuit City's extended warranties affected by the liquidation?

* No. Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans® (extended warranties) have been backed by third-party independent companies for more than 15 years and as a result, are not impacted by Circuit City's closing.
* Currently, all Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans are fully backed by the Assurant Solutions companies. Assurant Solutions operates as Federal Warranty Service Corporation, Sureway, Inc., and United Service Protection, Inc. Assurant Solutions is part of Assurant, Inc. (NYSE: AIZ), and its extended service contacts are backed by an Assurant insurance subsidiary rated A "Excellent" by A.M. Best Co.

RE:kubotaman2004.
You’ve definitely said a mouthful.

Is a bargain a real bargain when you don’t necessarily need it??

Or when it’s a markup.

Thanks.

The deals suck. Everything starts at 10% off. Music, dvds, games, and furniture is 20% off, and Monster products is 30% off. Some stuff can be a bargain because the system is a tad bit outta wack. I got WiiFit for 70, but most stuff is not worth buying even at 30% off. Monster has a 70-90% mark up. Support your local retailer and keep those people employed.

I look it up online to get the exact name and model number and then I call that local store on the phone. They don't seem to mind.

Yes,you can still go to the store and buy the camcorder. Most items are 10%off the original price, which is not much. Some are 20%off and a few are 30%off.
No, you can no longer purchase online from the circuit city website.
